Ontario’s residential construction industry continues to show the steepest growth curve of building permits of any province.
Statistics Canada says that Ontario led the way as the value of residential building permits rose 6.1 per cent in September to $4.4 billion.
The Prairies, meanwhile, have tanked a bit. Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba all posted declines in permit activity in September.
Ontario also led the whopping increase in non-residential construction intentions, a 23.9 per cent increase in September to $3.1-billion.
