Remembering Randell Morris: Saskatchewan skilled trades visionary

Canada’s skills training community has lost a visionary. Randell Morris, President and CEO of Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT), passed away on Oct. 16 at the age of 47.
Randell was a proud member of the George Gordon First Nation, and accomplished much in his short life, earning two B.A.s from the Universities of Saskatchewan and Regina, as well as an M.B.A.
Randell was dedicated to youth and education. He exemplified the Cree proverb: “Sakihtok mina wicihitok” which, when translated, means “Love one another and help one another.” He was a kind, gentle man with a quick wit and ready smile who was open and receptive to new ideas.
