Peter Douglas, a design-build contractor in Charlottetown, PEI, couldn’t take it any more.
He was working on a six-month long project where he was tracking all his expenses (time, material, subs and labour) the “old-fashioned” way, using Word and Excel spreadsheets.
He says that about 7 out of 10 contractors operate that way.
But then, on this particular project, “terrible things started happening” to his job tracking.
Peter decided to go back to his former trade – as a software developer – and try to come up with a simple software program that the smaller, “less sophisticated” contractor could use to manage their workday.
He calls it JobSite To Go.
In this video, he chats to Rob Koci about his product.
