Home inspection: a new revenue stream for you?

A multi-million dollar business, home inspection is fast becoming a highly-regulated industry – in part because of the close scrutiny it has experienced in the last few years. Whereas only a few years ago you could call yourself a “home inspector” with little more effort than to register yourself online, two provinces now require certification. Training opportunities have sprung up across Canada to help establish a base of knowledge necessary for this emerging profession. Aubrey LeBlanc, vice president of business development for HouseMaster, a home inspection franchise, tells us about the franchise option.
