From tools to trucks: Home Hardware Pro Contractor trade shows pump up the prizes

LONDON, ON – Last night at Home Hardware’s Pro Contractor Trade Show in London, Ont., the staff at the Toyota booth had an almost constant lineup of contractors filling out ballots. It looked as if every single one of the (estimated) 500 contractors attending the show wanted to win the 2015 Toyota Tundra pick up truck that is the grand prize of this year’s seven shows across Canada.

There were prizes going out to contractors about every 5 minutes at yesterday’s show. While we at CANADIAN CONTRACTOR didn’t have a truck to give away, we did give away a pretty cool Stanley FatMax toolbox chock full of the latest products in the Stanley FatMax hand tool collection. Thanks to our sponsors at Stanley, we are giving away a similar crammed toolbox of Stanley FatMax tools at each of Home Hardware’s remaining Pro Contractor shows: Calgary (Feb. 5), Winnipeg (Feb. 19), Kelowna (Feb. 24) and Halifax (March 12).

Our winning contractor last night in London was Kyle Reckman, owner of Inside & Out Home Improvements, London, Ont. “I do a lot of trim and finish carpentry and I’ll put some of these tools to work tomorrow morning,” Kyle said. “I really like this toolbox, it’s got some serious sturdiness to it. It’ll be holding up for a long, long time that’s for sure.”
