HurriQuake Nails
Canadian Contractor building technology hurriquake nails job marketing reroofing sheathing steve maxwellBy Steve Maxwell
Nails seem straight forward enough at first glance, but they’re not. The nails you choose for sheathing the roof and walls of your projects, for instance, can have a huge impact on the strength of that structure when weather gets bad. Hurriquake nails are the most dramatic case in point that I know of. They have much more holding power than conventional nails, and to see exactly how this plays out in the real world, check out my video on Hurriquake nail installation as part of a reroofing job.
Even if you don’t particularly care how well your projects withstand a major storm 15 years down the road, clients certainly do. You can gain big marketing points if you explain the advantages of new building technology like this, then put it into practice. And in the case of Hurriquakes, they don’t even cost more than ordinary gun nails.
