Steve and I figure that the six-man crew of City of Toronto Parks workers shown in this video (shot with staggering professionalism from his balcony) are costing about $500-an-hour.
The location for this monumental team effort was Sheppard East Park, North York, and this video was shot last Thursday, May 1. (International Workers Day!)
The $4,000-a-day crew (our estimate, give us yours) were there to clean up the twigs and branches from December’s ice storm.
If you look closely, at least once you will see one of them moving a branch with his rake.
You might have to watch the video a couple of times to verify that theory. We could be wrong.
GREAT JOB GUYS!

Where is his honour the (Mayor) Rob Ford. Somebody send this to him if he can be found.
I see the problem, they have not got there cards from the OCOT yet. Without them they are not allowed to work. Perhaps someone should call the Liberals up and let them know.
This video apparently shows the tip of the ice berg, high speed workers from the city of Toronto. Maybe they should slow it down other ways they may end up with a speed ticket, LOL. What a f,,,,,,,, disgraceful management, no wonder property tax are higher. They may not be certified to clean branches who knows!.
Thanks to those film this venture.
I agree they may not look like they are working hard, and I wish I sometimes had their job stability and income, but I’ve seen about the same standing around from subs, students and other trades I’ve hired. How much work really gets done at an office? Are you working 100% of the time? I’m sure I could take a five minute slice into anyone’s life and it would look like they are videoing or texting it facebooking, or emailing. Let’s quit complaining and do some work, instead of watching videos of others not working.
Josh: you are right, we don’t work hard al the time. But these guys are working for me, making money from my taxes. It was more than a thin slice of their time. More importantly, they are public sector employees with no competition. If I slack off on the job, there is the very real possibility I’ll get fired, or the magazine will lose money, and I’ll get fired. There is no such push back for these guys, except for videos like this.
