Simply produce your android cell phone or iPhone, plug the Square card reader into your cell phone’s earphone socket, scan the credit card and the money will be deposited into your account. The customer, meanwhile, will get an emailed receipt for the transaction.
This system is affordable, transparent and it comes with a low fee of 2.75% per swipe for Visa and MasterCard. It’s a free app, the card reader is free, and it comes with free shipping. This means no merchant account, monthly fees or set-up costs… and no fee of 3.5% plus 15¢ per transaction.
