“Violence” complaints about March/April cover are “political correctness,” contractor says

Out of 31,000 copies mailed, we had about five complaints about apparent “violence” on our jokey/ironic/ham-it-up March-April cover, featuring the dynamic and happily married contractor couple David and Jeanne McGregor (Con-Tech Restorations.

So in a post last week, I asked you about this cover.  As editor, did I cross the line? Do I need sensitivity training?

Here’s a response from Marten of Dutch Touch Construction.

“I thought it was fine. But I think we have gone overboard with the political correctness thing. I saw the cover as a joke, as such. I don’t believe Canadian Contractor in any way had any thought to promote violence. Some people need to lighten up. Sorry if I have offended anyone. Just my opinion.”
