Canadian Contractor

Retired Sergeant Gordon Higgins talks about the need for an establishment like Damon is developing, in his province

We have already had more hits on John Bleasby’s story about Damon Bennett’s efforts to help veterans employed in the construction trades, than any other story we have ever run on CanadianContractor.Ca. Congratulations for stirring up a tidal wave of interest, Damon.

The following is one of many, many responses, from Retired Sergeant Gordon Higgins, who served in the Canadian Forces for a proud 18 years…

“I have been in the reno and construction industry since my retirement. Very passionate about what I do. However here [in Newfoundland] it’s hard to get ahead because of the good old boys clubs. This place could do with an establishment and cause like Damon’s. My hat is off to you for all your efforts for and with my former brothers in arms. Thank very much from this veteran.”
