OCOT “wannabe cops” sent packing
Ontario College of Trades inspectors are Provincial Offences Officers. But that doesn't mean they can force you to let them into your premises or onto your property.
It has been almost three years now since we wrote a post reminding Ontario trades that inspectors from the Ontario College of Trades (OCOT) legally can’t just waltz onto your property or into your shop just because they feel like it. As Provincial Offences Officers, OCOT “enforcers” are constrained by the same rules as apply to police officers, who cannot just enter any premises on any context whatsoever. They have to go to a judge to get a warrant if they can prove that something is likely to be amiss. Without that, you don’t have to let them in.

Some OCOT wannabe cops came to our location today demanding to come into our shop. We did not allow them in – and we actually called the police because of the information in your article. The two little rats in their little white trucks left with their tails between their legs. I am licensed to the hilt for everything that I do. And I am not breaking any laws. Thank you again for writing this blog for everyone to see. I will share it.

To those still believe this insane liberalism at Queens Park will survive with all their creations for tax grabs? You are in for a big surprise maybe sooner then later. The courage of Kevin O’Leary in the news paper this week calling Wynnie ( Ontario premier) incompetent, his he right? A few more logs to the fire, will be a good idea, Mr. O’Leary, to keep things worm.
She responded to O’Leary Ontario auto investment is about 2 billion, really? The City of London Ontario alone sold 1.35 billion in building permits, in last year 2016, his O’Leary right?
Lets give a look: She won the election by 38.65% of the minority, of the voters, the majority of eligible voters did not vote. So this percentage became 1.862.907 votes, out of 9.2 million, now her approval is about 16% = 298.065 votes, opps,.
Any middle size city mayor in Ontario have more approval then her, what a shame. This insane matter should never be accepted by the people of Ontario nor By the Ontario elections,( Canada) a such low approval should quit or be demanded out, for incompetence. A such low percentage should be set by the Ontario election act, if reach that resign. Will keep these politicians serve the people not a few cronies.
Wynnie is representing no body only her tyranny and her cronies, the ones lobbying her government and the previous macguilty for tax grabs . Can we call this a political disaster ? Who will pay for her billions of dollars debt? Her policing demands on trades and other matters is coming into an end.
What makes me sad is: a lot of people from Ontario, took some bus’s to the states to protest the inauguration of USA President Mr. Trump, but are unable to see their demise on front of their eyes. They should be protesting at Queens Park instead, demanding this corruption out.
The average Ontarian family is at the button in economic mess.
The Wynnie disgovernment will continue with their tricks and lies, incompetence, dishonesty, cronism, cover-ups, ect, how can she is even allowed to be there? O’Leary asked her publicly if she thinks she doing a good thing for Ontario, call for an election, for her political suicide, and our satisfaction.
Notice, demand all OCOT inspectors out of your properties, if they enter with out warning, this Trojan horse agency have no powers just an illusion of, ( a none for profit org) there is no college of trades, its a collector and checker agency nothing more.
