Rocking the Show: WRLA 2016

This year’s Western Retail Lumber Association (WLRA) buying show was a huge success. Calgary’s BMO centre was decked to the nines in lava lamps and a wide assortment of tradeshow booths, including JELD-WEN’s.
JELD-WEN dealers from all across Canada were in attendance at this event. Those who stopped by the JELD-WEN booth were treated to a warm cup of coffee and a friendly sales team, eager to discuss new products, such as the Monroe composite interior door. In recognition of JELD-WEN’s growing relationship with their vast dealer and contractor network, the theme of the booth was “Power in Partnership.”
WLRA gave JELD-WEN an opportunity to unveil their new interactive kiosks. The kiosks were each equipped with a digital touch-screen that featured inspirational stories from customers and useful product information. Dealers were also able to enter to win a Dell Venue Pro 11 Tablet, which came loaded with JELD-WEN sales tools, the MyJW App and the latest interactive product guides.
The JELD-WEN social media team was there to capture all the highlights, making use of the hashtag #2016WRLAROCKTHESHOW as well as #JWWRLA2016. JELD-WEN’s on-site social media experts were happy to discuss social media with eager dealers looking to increase their online presence. A live social media stream displayed tweets in real time, creating a fun and positive atmosphere for all of our partners.
Overall, the week was a huge success for team JELD-WEN. They were able to connect with many existing dealers and new customers while promoting the use of social media and interactive technology. By strengthening their partnership with top dealers, JELD-WEN is working to ensure they are equipped to pass along the latest trends in product innovation and selection to homeowners, builders and contractors.
