“It was important to recognize that excellence also exists”
Canadian ContractorAward-winning Ottawa contractor Amsted Design-Build hands out awards to trade and supplier partners
Steve Barkhouse, owner of Amsted Design-Build, took time away from the spotlight of his company’s own recent awards success to thank those who made it all possible. “In an industry that is often portrayed negatively in the media, we felt it was important to recognize that excellence also exists. Amsted understands that people make the difference, and our mission is to exceed the expectations of all of our customers, including our valued trade and supplier partners.”
Amsted: one of the most awarded build and renovation contractors in Ontario
The West Ottawa Board of Trade had just named Amsted as the 2015 ‘Medium Business of the Year’ on top of two other awards; 2015 Renovator of the Year by both the Ontario and Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Associations. It’s the first time a company has achieved both accolades in a single year.
So, on March 9th, Barker invited 30 trades and suppliers to the Kanata Golf & Country Club to celebrate their relationships and to present several awards to key partners, a wonderful gesture of sharing. The award categories themselves reflect the key characteristics of a strong contractor-trade partnership.
