We just received this press release that shows some terrific cooperation between different firms in donating essential power tools to Habitat for Humanity Canada.
Mississauga, Ontario – March 2, 2015 – As of 2013 CN Rail has been a valued member of the DeWalt (Stanley Black & Decker) C.O.R.E. program. This loyalty program is aimed at providing its members with industry leading service and rewards, based upon supporting Stanley Black & Decker purchases via an authorized distributor.
In partnership with Acklands Grainger, supporting CN Rails national equipment requirements, CN Rail requested that any and all C.O.R.E rebates earned via DeWalt (Stanley Black & Decker) purchases, with Acklands Grainger be donated to Habitat for Humanity Canada in the form of DeWalt power tools.
Nick Lesey, System Manager at CN Rail, is pleased to announce that to date, its program rebates have provided Habitat for Humanity Canada, one of the country’s most recognized non-profit organizations, with over $27,000 worth of DEWALT tools to help build and improve communities across Canada.
Perry Wallace, Leading Field Maintainer says, “CN Rail is delighted that by procuring the tools we require to continue the safe, responsible delivery of goods across Canada, we are also contributing to Habitat’s mission to provide safe, decent and affordable housing for families across the country.”
Habitat for Humanity broke ground on its first home in Canada in 1985, and since then, has enabled over 2,700 families to access affordable homeownership and break the cycle of poverty.. Find out more about Habitat for Humanity Canada and its programs at www.habitat.ca.
