TORONTO, April 3, 2018 /CNW/ – GE Appliances Canada announced today a new partnership with home renovation experts, The Holmes Group. Mike Holmes, along with his son Mike Holmes Jr. and his daughter Sherry Holmes, will work together as spokespeople and ambassadors for the appliance brand throughout 2018.
Mike Holmes, Canada’s most trusted contractor and TV host, has signed a multi-faceted partnership with GE Appliances. Holmes will serve as a brand ambassador alongside his children, Mike Holmes Jr. and Sherry Holmes. Holmes was chosen, said GE Appliances’ President Mike McCrea, based on his unmatched reputation for quality, reliability and ingenuity.
“Mike Holmes has developed an unmatched reputation for quality, reliability and ingenuity – attributes that are at the core of the products we create and sell,” says Mike McCrea, president of GE Appliances Canada. “At GE, we say that we create good things for life. And we’re thrilled to be creating some really ‘good things’ with Mike and his family.”
The all-encompassing partnership, which will include GE Appliances’ full suite of kitchen and laundry products, will come to life through in-store point-of-purchase displays, digital content and social media and PR activities featuring Mike Holmes and his son and daughter, Mike Holmes Jr. and Sherry Holmes. GE Appliances will also be seen on Holmes’ blockbuster show, Holmes and Holmes and will receive the coveted “Holmes Approved” stamp of approval.
“Over my 30 years in building and contracting, I’ve seen it all. And I know the right products for the right job,” says Mike Holmes. “I only partner with brands that embody my core values – quality, integrity and trust. GE has all of those in spades.”
The partnership between GE Appliances and The Holmes Group will kick-off with a campaign focused on National Laundry Day on April 15. In the lead-up to the big day, the campaign will include original video content and a national media tour with Sherry Holmes, all of which will be amplified on social media.
