Ontario regulation of home inspectors expected… “soon”

Two months ago, we reported here that Ontario was planning to make an announcement “in the spring” that home inspectors in the province would be regulated.

We don’t have the announcement yet, but a widely-published Canadian Press story on Monday continued to affirm that Queen’s Park will act… soon.

The Canadian Press story refers to the publication, last month, of the first-ever CSA standard for the inspection of a home. The standard was developed by Ontario, Alberta and B.C.  The latter two provinces already regulate home inspectors. They are, in fact, the only provinces to do so.
