IRWIN announces an exciting new contest as part of the day's events

Mississauga, ON [September 21, 2018] – IRWIN, a leading manufacturer of innovative hand tools and power tools accessories for more than a century, is excited to kick-off its eighth annual National Tradesmen Day program. This #NationalTradesmenDay, we’re celebrating the dedicated Canadian men and women who help build our country and keep it running. Canada could not exist without tradespeople.

National Tradesmen Day is traditionally celebrated on the third Friday of September. For eight years and counting, IRWIN has directed the spotlight on one of Canada’s greatest assets – our tradespeople. IRWIN deeply respects the role that professional tradespeople play in the world, and places great value on the contributions they make to society each day. IRWIN is serious about celebrating our country’s trade professionals – the real working hands.

For 2018, IRWIN is also awarding a VIP Football Experience to two deserving tradespeople. The winner and guest will each receive round-trip flights to Toronto, two night’s stay, the VIP experience at a Toronto Argonauts game on October 20, a personalized jersey and $250 for food. The total prize value is $5,000. Secondary prizes include IRWIN tools and IRWIN branded products.

The VIP Football Experience contest supports IRWIN’s continued involvement in carrying on the legacy of our professional tradespeople, not only by rewarding them for their hard work, but by finding and retaining top talent in the industry. In an industry facing continual job shortages and a lack of skilled laborers, IRWIN is determined to continue to place great emphasis on the importance of a profession in the trades.Tradespeople are the unsung heroes who keep Canada running strong. Without them, we would be left with blueprints instead of real building or a kitchen without plumbing.
