The opportunities on the mechanical side of the construction industry, throughout Canada, are huge. If you are thinking of moving into a new field, HVACR is worth a look.

D. Brian Baker, president of Custom Vac Ltd., Winnipeg, and an instructor at the Westech Energy Training Centre there, reminds Canadian Contractor readers that there are great career opportunities throughout Canada in the mechanicals industry: heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration.

Winnipeg-area contractors looking to make a career change to take them into the mechanicals industry might want to look at an upcoming introductory course, “Preparation for Residential HVACR,” which will be offered Monday and Thursday evenings, 6 pm to 10 pm, at the Westech facility from Sept. 5, 2013 to Feb. 17, 2014.
