Uneven advancement for prompt payment legislation across country

Our friends over at Electrical Business have posted this excellent article looking at the status of the various provincial efforts to enforce timely payment of construction contracts. Ontario has passed legislation and early results seem promising. Other jurisdictions are getting close but fears are rising that momentum may have stalled.
