Habitat for Humanity’s ReStores are a win-win-win: countless new or “gently used” items donated to the charitable organization have been kept out of landfills, contractors are able to find tools and materials at a huge discount, and the proceeds fund the organization’s primary mission of helping provide safe housing for low-income families. At the initial outbreak of Coronavirus, the Habitat’s 13 Greater Toronto Area ReStore locations were closed. They’ve since reopened with contact-free curbside pickup or delivery options. But they’ve also launched an eCommerce site broken down into various categories including windows, doors, lighting, appliances, and tools.
