Will Gonell, an American-born, Toronto-based contractor – and friend of Renovation Contractor magazine – recently sent out a note to friends and colleagues about his interest in helping those impacted by Hurricane Irma in the Florida Keys.
He flew down to get a first-hand account of the damage to homes, schools, and hospitals so that he can help coordinate some relief efforts from Canada.
Sometime in mid- to late-November he plans to head back to Marathon, Florida, to help rebuild two veterans’ homes that were destroyed in the storm. (Gonell’s a former U.S. Marine so servicemen and women are close to his heart.)
