Woods Log Splitter
Model affected: Wedge accessory, model # 581196
Potential Problem: According to the recall notice, “The 4-way wedge accessory can loosen or detach from the log splitter and hit an operator or bystander, causing an impact injury hazard.” While no serious incidents have reported in Canada, one U.S. operator had a head injury.
Sold: Only 2 units were sold in Canada, but more than 5,000 were sold in the U.S. between July 2016 and January 2018.
