Canadian Contractor Coverage Insurance

Everything was going fine until…..

Until…. you felt a lump behind your left knee and found out later it was cancer and you’re only 46? Until…… you experienced sudden chest pains and discovered later you were in the middle of a heart attack at age 55 or Until….the ladder you are on was blown over and you’re 21 feet up?

My question is: Do you think your day will end the same as yesterday without mishap?

All the above contractors thought it would but within a fraction of a second their day changed and for some, forever.

Now, in order to foresee these dangers happening to contractors, I’ve thought what if: there was a system where we could simply add an expiry bar code to each of our foreheads? You know the ones you see on items in the grocery store. This could make life so simple, as it would tell us ahead of time, that some unexpected event or disasters was going to happen to us that day.

This system would put us ahead of the game, so we could buy for example, a CAA membership tonight, because it shows we’ll break down in the middle express lane tomorrow or better still, we should buy some disability insurance, as it shows next week, we’ll be involved in a major accident, causing us 12 month of disability.

Unfortunately this technology does not exist yet and the question is: could you handle a 52-week disability with no income? Do you have enough savings to survive?

If not, we advise every contractor to consider pricing some disability insurance benefits, because some products available are very reasonable priced. Some even offer 100 per cent refund of premiums paid if no claim occur after a particular period. It’s a win win  situation for contractors.

If you need information about this type of coverage or if you already have benefits, but are not sure what they are, simply contact us toll free at 1-866-366-2930 and one of our disability specialists can help you.
