Nominate your customer to appear on a DIY TV show on the Discovery Channel

How terrible a DIYer was your customer before you stepped in? Terrible enough to star in a new DIY TV program that promises thousands of dollars to the winning couple?

Proper Television, a TV production company, is constructing a do-it-yourself series like no other with Handyman Smackdown (working title) for the Discovery Canada channel. Featuring nine, one-hour episodes, the goal of the series is to create a competition that features some of the worst home renovating twosomes in the country, who are willing to learn, compete, and be mentored by experts. The duo that improves the most when the sawdust settles, wins bragging rights, along with a significant cash prize. Applications are now being accepted. Start of production, broadcast details, and experts will be announced at a later date.

Producers are calling on Canadians to nominate someone they live with, who is passionate and ambitious about do-it-yourself home renovations, BUT seriously unskilled. If someone is fed up with the disastrous work that their cohabiter is inflicting on their home, then they should nominate them now at badhandyman.ca. The nominator must be willing to embark on a journey of redemption alongside their disastrous DIYer. Whether it’s a husband, wife, partner, father, mother, son or daughter, what matters is that they’re both living and suffering in the same space.
