I live in British Columbia, on Vancouver Island, I wonder if there is a government grant to help with bathroom upgrade, I have arthritis and find increasingly difficult to get into my bathtub. Would appreciate some information on any government grants to help seniors who wish to remain in their own home. Thanks.

Hello Margaret. In Ontario until 2016 there had been a tax credit (worth $1500 on $10000 worth of renovation work) for such an activity. Knowing that this had already ended in this province, I just performed a quick search and couldn’t find any evidence of any similar such current program available to you in BC. Regretfully yours,
