Who pays for Mike Holmes’ material and labour?

Many years back, we gave Mike Holmes an opportunity to respond to some of the industry criticism he’s received over time.

Nary a few weeks has gone by since then without more comments flowing out of this thread. And now, Linda Priddy has broken the all-Covid, all-the-time industry spell by adding to the comments with the following:

Who pays for the materials and labour that Mike uses on rescues for the homeowners seen on TV? Also are any of these homes in United States?

Can anyone help her with this? Anyone know the answer to her questions?
