"Will you ride into the sunset, or just walk away?" If you don't plan to make your business a saleable entity, you will just be walking away...

Last week, John Bleasby wrote a post about “exit strategies” for self-employed contractors (“Will you sail into the sunset or just walk away?”).

If you run your own firm, do YOU have an exit strategy?  Here is a response from Montreal-area contractor Matt.

“This has been a concern of ours as we pour our heart and souls into creating our remodeling and new home business. We have put so much effort, energy and time investment into conception and optimal systematized operations – with a disproportionate amount of energy to create a real exit strategy. We would assume this is common among small contractors…

We are working on this live and we will be interested to hear stories of others who have been able to make the sale of their brand and their strategy behind it.
