The Hammerati guys

If you haven’t heard of Hammerati, you will soon. The website soft-launched recently and will fully launch in the fall. It is another take on helping renovating consumers find renovation contractors.

There is more, of course. The site will have some very innovative tools to enhance sales conversations with customers. In partnership with the consumer site uknowa.com, hammerati.com is trying, like many before it, to become the site of choice for the renovation industry.
Here is President Carlo Perez explaining why Hammerati is different. “While there are countless websites dedicated to trying to improve the consumer experience (review sites, directories, etc.) there are few that are dedicated to improving the contractor’s experience.  That’s where Hammerati steps in.  A professional network exclusively for construction professionals that makes it easy to publish your business online and connect to work opportunities.  It’s like a LinkedIn just for the construction industry.

“For years construction has lagged behind other industries in terms of online offerings.  In 2012 Hammerati is out to change all of that starting with giving our users beautiful, free websites that focus on showcasing their hard work (we intend to end the days of websites charging contractors for adding a logo or photos and text to their profiles).  We work directly with our community members to design and build our online tools and we’ll be releasing more of them over the coming months along with a refined site design based on community feedback.  So stay tuned – we’re just getting started.”
