This news broke back last November, but we didn’t pick up on it at that time. Better late than never.

This is a very cool house in Calgary, built by Brookfield Residential. The Calgary Sun calls it the “first Passive House built by a major Alberta builder.”

Furnace-free home earns award for energy efficiency

Meanwhile, across the pond, the UK government is cranking up the pressure on the HVAC industry to get OUT of the business of “fossil fuel heating systems.” It will be interesting to see what impact the UK’s move has on legislative thinking in Canada.
