“Cash, cash, cash, I’m amazed at how many quotes I go into that want the work done ”tax free”. The customer doesn’t realize, not only the legal ramifications of paying for work like that, but the dangers for them if something does go wrong. “I didn’t build that bathroom for you, sir, there’s no invoice that says so!” Why people would want to risk that ending to their “dream project” is beyond me.

We have often been asked if we will accept cash. In the customers eyes this will be a savings not only on the provincial and Gst taxes but they expect it to be reduced due to the contractor not paying the corporate sales tax. We refuse and explain our business can not operate that way. They move on and I’m sure some one takes their offer. the above idea should be considered
