Taking the Unconventional Approach. Why dimple sheet basement protection is a winning bet. Part 2

In Ontario, there was a short time in the early 1990’s where providing dampproofing and drainage if the interior walls where insulated was optional. Some home builders still used dimple sheets and saw immediate benefits from its use and continued to specify and use it. They saw a dramatic drop in call backs from home owners for basement leakage. Today the majority of basements of big builders in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) exclusively use the dimple sheet system to provide protection for their basements. The fact that the dimple sheet provided both damp proofing and drainage in a single application made it an ideal and cost effective solution to an age-old problem, leaky basements.

In the commercial and industrial construction industry the dimple sheet protection system has been found to be a cost effective alternative to traditional ways of providing structural below grade protection, where specialized dimple sheets have been designed and manufactured to suit the demanding needs in these construction sectors.
