A drill driver is a handy vise - or, if you wish, a lathe - when you need to cut a hard-to-hold bolt


In our latest issue of SITE TIPS, Rob Koci demonstrates how to cut a bolt with a hacksaw when you don’t have a vise handy.

It seems obvious when you watch this video, but it’s a handy tip to know.

A drill driver can be used as a vise – or more like a lathe.

    Nice tip. Of course on the job site you would wear safety glasses when using your drill and saw together :-).
