CertainTeed Insulation increases its distribution

Contractors across Canada will soon have improved access to the CertainTeed brand of insulation products, after the firm signed a distribution deal recently with Goodfellow Inc., one of Canada’s largest building products suppliers.

“A smaller building supply dealer who needs a less-than-trailer load shipment of as little as 150 bags or 200 bags of CertainTeed insulation, for a specific contractor, will now be able to get it more easily through our arrangement with Goodfellow,” Marlon Thompson, marketing product manager at CertainTeed Insulation Group Canada, told Canadian Contractor.

The new distribution arrangement applies not only to CertainTeed’s fibreglass insulation, but to its MemBrain product, which is being increasingly used by contractors in Canada as an alternative to standard poly vapour sheeting.

Goodfellow, which brands itself “The Wood Specialists,” serves all regions of Canada and in the coming weeks will maintain a complete inventory of CertainTeed Insulation products at its Regional Distribution Centres in Deer Lake, Dartmouth, Moncton, Quebec City, Delson, Ottawa, Campbellville, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.
